AMEN! We forget just how blessed we are to have the simple things.
Today we celebrated our 1 year as a church together! It was beautiful! Something so wonderful has come out of a HUGE mess that was our old church. God is moving in this place and has blessed us tremendously!
My Pastor’s wife is one of my best friends… 35 years separate us but you’d swear we were the same age. Haha. She also has RA, and this battle has only brought us closer together since my diagnosis almost a year ago.
One day last summer when I was over at her house for one of our many quality time sessions together, Becky asked me about what my doctor said earlier that morning at my appointment (she knew about the discomfort and pain I was feeling and was the first one to actually notice my slow unsteady walking pattern). I looked her directly in the eyes as she sat across the living room from me ; hers began to well up with tears, mine did the same: I told her my doctor thought it might be RA. She moved to the couch and sat next to me gently placing her hand on top of mine as she wiped away her tears before they ran down her cheeks.
My doctor’s suspicion was confirmed by blood work and MRI results a week later. Once again; we cried, together.
All of this to say how incredibly blessed I am to have Becky. She is my rock when I get discouraged about this disease, and I’m hers. I thank God for her each day.We both have down days, but we have faith that CAN MOVE mountains and we have a VERY special bond!
I love and appreciate her very much.
